The Mashima 1833 motor and single reduction gearbox is no longer available. The SM 1532 motor and single reduction gearbox units replace the Mashima 1833 units. Double reduction gearboxes units with Mashima 1833 motors are still available. The double gearbox can be purchased separately, if required. A 22.0 mm diameter flywheel is an optional extra on these units.

The Mashima motor has a skewed armature, 2.0mm shaft, a no load speed of 8,500 rpm (+/- 10%), and a rated current of 90mA.
