This kit has been designed to be built as the 6 wheeled version to SR diagram 1575, but if the modeller is prepared to overlook a small dimensional difference of 3 inches in width between these and the 4 wheeled version to SR diagram 1568, then either version can be built. Construction of the prototypes commenced in 1900 and they remained in use until about 1947. Thus the vehicles were in LBSC and SR liveries, but no BR.
