The horseboxes represented by this kit cover the eight vehicles built for the MSWJ Railway in 1897 by the Midland Railway Carriage & Wagon Company.
Some details can be found in the book The Midland & South Western Junction Railway Volume 3 by M. Barnsley. The other two volumes contain a history of the MSWJR and its stock. These horseboxes carried a Westinghouse brake pipe in addition to the vacuum brake.
The running numbers of the horseboxes were 12 19. Only three of the vehicles survived to be taken over by the Great Western Railway following grouping in 1923. The table below shows the GWR numbers and the withdrawal date:

The MSC Models Kit
The MSC Models kit enables a vehicle to be built using brakegear typical of brakegear fitted to most horseboxes of this type as the General Arrangement drawing of this particular vehicle gives no specific details.
The roof of this kit requires bending to shape.
Wheels have not been provided in the kit as there are a number of different standards available in O Gauge. Slaters Plastikard Ltd 3' 7" spoked wheels are suitable.
