LBSC 6 Ton Single Bolster Wagon

This kit represents the bolster wagons built to SR diagram 1617 from 1912 onwards. Bolster wagons were the second most numerous group of wagons on the LBSCR, reflecting the important traffic of timbercarriage in SE England. Most mainland examples lasted until just before nationalisation, so could be seen in LBSC and BR liveries. 20 wagons went to the Isle of Wight in 1928-1930, and these remained in traffic until the 1960's.
